The Irish-American Society of New Mexico is a nonprofit (501c3), nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization whose purpose is to further Irish-American relations through education, travel, camaraderie, recreation, charity, music, and dance.
Membership in the Irish-American Society is $20.00/year for an individual and $25.00 for a family. Membership includes the monthly newsletter, The Irish Times (delivered electronically).
Our annual events include our Christmas Party in December, and of course our St. Patrick's Day Party in March. Our monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at 7 PM (except in July and August), and usually include a program about Irish music, culture, language, etc. We also participate every year in The Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival in May and the Edgewood Celtic Festival in October.
Our monthly meetings usually take place at First Unitarian Church Hall, 3701 Carlisle Blvd NE, SW corner of Comanche and Carlisle.
There is no charge to attend our monthly meetings. We just ask that you bring a sweet or salty snack to share. [Covid Update: For the remainder of 2021, all of our meetings and events will be held over Zoom.]
