The Irish-American Society of New Mexico is organized as a 501c3 public charity corporation "to promote the preservation and study of Irish culture, including music, art, history, folklore, dance and literature among interested persons in the New Mexico area". Our meetings are held on the second Friday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at 4821 Menaul, NE, Albuquerque. There is no meeting in July or August, however. IAS social activities include: the Celtic Festival and Games in May; a Summer picnic; the Celtic New Year’s Party (Halloween); a Christmas Party, and the St. Patrick’s Day Dance. Membership in the IAS is open to everyone. The cost is $20 for an individual and $25 for a family per year. The membership year runs from April 1st to March 31st of the following year. Membership includes the 12 issues per year of the IRISH TIMES, the IAS newsletter. Our address is P.O. Box 13435, Albuquerque, NM 87192. Your IAS membership also includes an associate membership at the German American Club at 4821 Menaul NE where our meetings and many of our events are held.
