The Irish-American Society of NM established a separate non-profit corporation to raise
funds for an Irish Heritage Center in the greater Albuquerque or Rio Rancho area in the not to
distant future. As envisioned, the Center would provide a forum for artistic and literary events
as well as programs and fesitvals for all members of our multicultural community. Included in
the Center would also be a museum and library of Celtic history and culture. Our first major
fundraiser was the Inaugural Emerald Ball last March 17, 2007 at the Albuquerque Marriott
Hotel. Pictures from the event can be seen at Emerald Ball.

The Board of the Heritage Center Inc. is newly formed and looking for additional board
members to assist in our fundraising efforts. We hope to be all inclusive in regards to Irish
and Celtic culture, thereby providing educational opportunities, social activities, and a
historical background for current and future generations to enjoy. We would be honored to
have increased community participation in future fundraising events. For further information
